Marinette, Wis. — A groundbreaking ceremony was held Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 2:00pm for The Cottages at Lake Park, a new 28 room memory care facility being built at 2006 Lake Park Drive in Marinette.
The Cottages currently has assisted living and memory care locations in Shawano and Oconto Falls and the new Marinette location will be the first facility to specialize in memory care in Marinette County. The Cottages at Lake Park Memory Care is expected to be open in Spring 2019 with an assisted living complex being built following completion of the memory care facility.
Rep. John Nygren, a Marinette native and current member of the Wisconsin State Assembly’s 89th Assembly District was the guest of honor at the event which included Marinette city officials and representatives from the Wisconsin Assisted Living Association and the Alzheimer’s Association.
